What's with Ballou at SNR?

Don't know. SNR still has Ballou on their roster and they have who is subbing for him on their schedule. I like Todd Wright, who is subbing for Ballou later this week, fairly well, btw. He is better than many hosts at the three networks.
Edited by longpets on 04/18/06 03:08 PM.

The station and magazine are for sale and there seems to be a wholesale slow blood-letting going on. Remember Scott Wetzel who had a show in every time slot at one time or another. He was moved to the overnight with Matt Spiegel and lasted about 3 weeks when one Monday night Matt came on and announced that Scott was no longer with the company...Kevin Wheeler abruptly left before the Wetzel fiasco. More recently, Jim Brown left his morning show a couple of weeks ago, then Chet Coppick disappeared and now Rick Ballou. Makes you wonder. If you remember Sports Fan Radio this is how they behaved before shutting down. Poor Paul Allen must be hurting badly in the wallet. He's also trying to unload the Jailblazers and the Rose Garden in Portland.

do they even have enough air talent to do updates and to do 168 hours of programming a week? Their NYC station has been brokerd out forever and Their Boston station lost the right the the Celtics and the paid programming seem to add up every day... Soon this country will have 2 national sports networks....

The company that represents Ballou recently had on their website ( www.bmstalent.com ) that he left SNR. The rats are obviosly fleeing the sinking ship. I keep hearing SNR is going to relocate to LA as soon as this summer. Moving doesn't make sense though when they obviously don't have enough money to sustain much longer no matter where they are headquartered.Maybe they could ressurect themselves by hiring everyone that ESPN has let go. Chuck Wilson and Todd Wright would be a good starting point.

Wright is already at SNR and wilson is doing baseball on XM.....
