I can't believe that they are putting John Tesh on the afternoons. That's gonna suck.
 
They do it because it's easy and because there is no passion left in that building. Imagine that 100kw blowtorch virtually automated each day from 3pm to 5AM...with tesh, delilah and auto-overnights. Whoever is running it ought to be ashamed and make a quick retreat out of the building. And don't blame it on Clear Channel...the PD who does AM Drive news should opt out of that...have Lana do the AM news...then move himself to middays and keep PM Drive local. It's a shame. Hopefully the new owners (when it's sold) will realize the mistake and get things back on the right track...starting with the termination of the PD who is letting this happen.
 
Why are people and stations so afraid to use call signs? I also had no idea there is another "Star" in Northern New England. It sure eliminates a lot of confusion. If a station has a slogan or Ider, Star, Magic, Coast, Kiss, Frank, Chump, Bozo, fine, why not just list the calls also, just as common courtesy to out of towners?
Stations still are required to give them once an hour anyway!
A good New Years Resolution?!
