What's Wrong With 10's Studio Audio?

This past week I've noticed that the audio leaves "trailing static" after someone stops talking. Seems to be limited to studio mics and not commercials or programs.

Listen to a better station. There are 4 other station with static-free newscasts. ;)

Cooney and Curtis -- two different people, one great STATIC-FREE news team! :D

I first noticed it on 10's Morning Show but it also happens on their newscasts.

Sorry but I can't stand watching, er, I should say listening to 12. The VO guy with his nasal problems drives me up the wall. (sorry CVD if that's you)

Remember those intellgent managers at Fox sent most of the studio crew packing a few months ago. There may not be an audio operator to pot down unsued mics. The talent may be turning the mic packs on and off, creating the static. Gotta love better living through technology.

10 could cream every other station in the Valley any day...since everybody has forgotten what quality is and worships the almighty dollar.

10 seems to be a comedy of errors the past few months. Their morning show has multiple technical problems every show (aside from the normal remote feed interrupts) and their newscasts are almost a joke (I watch the news breaks during the morning show only). Misspellings, missed segues, wrong slides/video's....you name it. That said....the other stations in the Valley are not a lot better.

So true, and so unfortunate. I guess all of the rules our English teachers taught us in grammar school no longer apply. Nowadays, "professional" means simply that you are paid to do something, and not that you are paid to work at the highest level of competence.
