What's wrong with Callahan's VOICE?

For much longer than it could be considered a 'passing thing,' Dennis Callahan's voice on WEEI's morning show has sounded HORRIBLE. Unlistenable (so I check into the show once a day during my commute, to see if his voice is 'better.' If it isn't--and it hasn't--I tune elsewhere). What's up with this?? Has he addressed this on-air?

Chris

He sounds like he is going to wind up in the same situation as Sam Wyche. Former Bengals coach who
wound up having one of his vocal chords removed. He lost his color job on radio because of it. not good.

That's kind of like a piano player whose fingers fall off...or a skier whose legs do. Yes, Callahan can still write for a newspaper...as long as there are newspapers to write for ;)

I guess I`m thinking he is making a lot more coin on the radio than with the Herald.

How much longer before boston becomes a one paper town?? I hope not.

A few years ago, the 'One Paper Town' discussion had people sure that The Globe would be the one to remain. Now, with parent Company NYT suggesting itself that it may not publish a printed version within the next five years and saddled by a money-losing albatross called The Boston Globe, it may be The Herald that is left standing.
