What's wrong with the WALE threads?

I don't know what is so wrong with the WALE threads. Haven't you guys ever played 'fantasy' baseball? If all of this is true...GREAT! If, however, it is just someone's imagination....SO WHAT? It is fun to chat about. Kenwood, lighten up....just because you are not part of the dream, doesn't mean it can't happen.

Also, who says you have to KNOW the names of the people mentioned? Can't you remember a time when you didn't even know who Arlene, Dan, Maryann or John were? Why not Chill my friend? Let's see if this plays out. I for one would be thrilled to see this happen.

You know, I just realized something. I bet Kane doesn't even know about this WALE thing. I bet his name was just added for the hall of it. I don't think he would even want to be part of this line up.

I don't mind the threads but I think people are reading them more to laugh at them than anything else and if this station does go on the air as scheduled it begins as a joke even if there are some shifts that are staffed with qualified people. The staffing schedule changes once a day. This radio waves person better not be any kind of an official spokesman for the station because if he is then someone needs to teach him how to write and punctuate and he's a poor reflection on the station.

I think I'm mostly annoyed because there are to many WALE threads over the past 7 days. Look at the board. Why do we need so many? Everything can be placed under one single thread. There is no need for WALE employees to start a new thread about the same thing every day.

Hey Sensi,
Tony Farr usually calls Matt Allens show on Saturday. And he did.
One of the 'off air' people asked him about WALE. Tony said he knew NOTHING about it.
These posters posting all this are just playing us all. It's a joke.
Maybe someone is pissed off . Who Knows?

Sensei, You call WALE on June 15's line-up a dream."I wish I was part of the dream."
I already worked with Ange at WHIM.While he was there. He broke format all the time.Talked and did not focus on the music. He always went on the air blaming something breaking on me.He smoked like a chimney. The board was loaded with cigeratte ashes all the time.He broke stools that we bought so we had something to sit on because Dick Allen did nt wat to buy us any.
As for me doing radio full-time. No ! The industry is a joke since deregulation and big companies stripping the stations of personality.
The only stations I would consider working at on a weekend basis are B101.I know this music backwards, forward,up and down.I would be a perfect fit there. I know my chances of getting hired there are less than me seeing GOD under present management. My second choice would be COOL 101.9. I like cool's unique mix of classic rock,AC and 60's music.

Ah Kenwood,

So, all this is about you not caring for Big Ange. WHIM WOW, How many years ago was this? Don't you think its about time you gave it up? Move on!...lol

I worked with Big Ange briefly too. The year was 1986. He worked at WKRI in West Warwick. I used to call into his show all the time. He was one of the few local afternoon shows at the time who was truly personality driven. I honestly was in mourning over the loss of Stern a year earlier. I was looking for a replacement on my dial. The best thing I could find was Ange who seemed to share Stern's ability to just talk about anything and have fun with it. So as a listener I liked the guy. But as an employee I found him less than pleasant to work with.

He seemed a bit to bossy over things he had no say in. He would tell me to not wear an NBC jacket to the station. He said that he didn't like it. I drove home and said to myself, Who the F cares what he likes? He's going to tell me what clothes to wear now. I had to draw the line there. I wasn't about to work for some kind of control freak who wanted to control my wardrobe. I appreciate the internship he offered me. But Ange didn't seem like he had the ability to respect much of anything. Not the equipment and not people either. He's an old school guy. He's set in his ways and I just felt that he and I were about to clash. So I chose to leave the station instead of killing him. I saved the bastards life. lol

Sky,

1986??? Geez....you guys have got to get a life...lol I think 21 yrs is enough time to move on....I hope that I have changed since then...so maybe Ange has too. Please guys, let's do some maturing here..lol

Move on? Trust me when I tell you that "Big Ange" had not occupied a thought in my head for 20 years until I came here and saw his name. I'm just telling you what I experienced. Maybe he has changed. Although I doubt it. He already looked pretty old when I worked with him. He must look worse than Imus now.

Psst....this is radio....who cares what he looks like? You are sound like an old girlfriend. lol
