What's your Favorite Dial Number?

I was thinking about this the other day, so I thought I'd see if anyone else had ever thought of it.

Thinking strictly about the frequency numbers/dial positions, not about the history of a station or the vagaries of the broadcast spectrum, or anything else, just from a numerical viewpoint, what's your favorite dial number?

I thought of this because I was scanning the band and 1420 seemed like a nice number to me. Nice and even...twice 7 the number of perfection, then twice 10 the first double digits number, right after that. At least that was my thinking at the time.

Anybody else ever thought of dial positions from a strictly aesthetical/numerical point of view? Or am I crazy? :-[ ;D

Mainly 690 AM. They sometimes call it "The Big 69".

You might say it's my favorite 'dial' position!

On FM, I like 97.9 - the middle of the FM band. It is the frequency most-closely suited to the element length of most antenna -- so you should see the best DX performance. I also like 107.9 -- there are no upward adjacents and you can get better distance. Example: WEBE in COnnecticut with a wimpy class B signal can be heard for 70+ miles; while the other class B's in that area are only good for 50.

1250. It was the frequency my dial was glued to when I first became enamored of radio as a youngster.

On FM, 92.9. I can get 5 stations from Plano, just North of Dallas depending on which way I point my antenna:

KNIN Wichita Falls, TX
KBEZ Tulsa, OK
KTKC Springhill, LA
KKBQ Houston, TX
KLRK Waco, TX

My favorite AM dial number is 1610. I love hearing the TIS stations.
My favorite FM dial number is 102.1, because it's one of the best frequencies in my area for E-skip.
My favorite TV dial number is 12, because on that channel is KVOS, a station in Bellingham, which is my only long-distance TV station I get.

I always thought 1010 was a cool frequency.

Perhaps 560....home to several legendary top 40 stations,  WHBQ, WQAM, WFIL, WIND.  Or how about 1520, which shared two 1-B 50KW top 40 nighttime blowtorches, KOMA and WKBW.

There are a few frequencies that bring a smile to my face when I tune them in, due to nostalgia,

540, 580, 630,680, 940, 1050, 1220, 1250, 1290, 1570 and 1590.

One growing up was 1300 for the big 1300 KYNO in the 60's and 70's. For FM 105.9 and 103.7, TV Channel 47 the local CBS affilate.

with that logic, CKLW and XEROK on 800 were 2 biggies a long time ago.

Those certainly qualify, although XEROK didn't have the staying power of KOMA and 'KB. Instead of 800, I'd possibly dial it down a notch to 790 for WFUN, WAKY, WQXI to name three.
