WHCU Ithaca

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but because the actual NY state board is dead and Syracuse is close to Ithaca...

Does anyone know what power WHCU is running at? Because I heard it coming in clear when I was in Newark the other day.

Here's the WHCU night pattern from Radio Locator. It appears the station, protecting WWL New Orleans, is throwing some strong RF towards Newark at night.

Hello...I see Jim has listed a sight to view WHCU's night pattern. I do know they put out 5,000 watts, but I am not sure if they are non-directional all the time, or a combination of non directional and directional depending upon day or night.

According to the FCC database, WHCU has two transmitter sites. Daytime site is a single tower located between Ithaca and Dryden; the nighttime transmitter site is a 3 tower array near the town of Newfield.
