WHDH and the Winterfest Boat Parade

For the last several years, WHDH has been airing the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade, which originates from sister station WSVN in Miami. It usually airs at 1:05AM on Christmas Eve, right after the Christmas Mass from St. Peter's Cathedral. It usually airs a few times on Christmas Day as well, on both WHDH and WLVI. It's interesting they would air a special from their sister station in an opposite part of the country. I remember they WHDH USED to air a show called Deco Drive, just shortly after being sold to Sunbeam in the mid-90s, but was taken off the air in 1996. I'm pretty sure WSVN still airs the show.

Exactly how long has WHDH been carrying Winterfest?

I actually don't think so. According to the official website, it is only aired in Boston and Miami. I do know that there are other local parades that are nationally syndicated. I think they do this because on days like Christmas Day, I think people just want to see Christmas specials and parades in general, they don't really care where it's from.
