WHDH and Whitney Houston funeral

Well, WHDH was one of the few local stations in the country to broadcast the funeral live, but when I tuned into channel 7, I found...

They were merely showing the direct CNN feed. How, and why, did they get permission to do that?

pure laziness at least they could have had wnbc's coverage or msnbc's!! maybe sunbeam is having more issues then we realize with NBC!!

Actually, I think they even mentioned on CNN that there was only one camera allowed in the church, as it was supposed to be a private event. I believe every network that aired it used the same feed.

As far as I know, the Associated Press was the only media affiliate allowed to provide a camera. So, basically, all stations provided the same video coverage with their own added audio commentary.

At one point CNN lost the signal, saw color bars for a few seconds. Then video returned with the word Reuters on it.
