WHDH-TV weather birds from early 1960s

Tonight I talked to my brother, and we both remember---when we were kids in the early 1960s in Boston---that WHDH-TV (the original station on Channel 5) used to have two bird puppets as part of their weathercast. The station was all-local color quite early on, so I am sure that this was done to add color to the broadcast.

Anyway....for a case of ZaRex flavored syrup and a five cans of Victor Coffee....what were the names of the birds and who was the weatherman? I seem to remember that the weatherman might have been Bob Copeland, but for the life of me I can't remember the birds' names.

I have a TV Guide ad from 1959 with Ted Miller and a seagull puppet that someone told me was named Sebastian. It was before my time (born in the mid 60s) so I have no direct knowledge.

Bob Copeland was with WBZ in the early 60s. He joined WHDH around 1967.

On another board, it was conformed that the weatherman was Ted Miller and the two seagull puppets were, in fact, Barney and Leonardo.
