WHDH's Chris May

From FTVLive:

....word is that Chris May, who did not have his contract renewed at WHDH will be pooping up across town.

Starting next month. May will be an anchor at CBS owned WBZ.

My comment: and speaking of WBZ, there is an article in the Herald about the possibility of Channel 4 dumping the "CBS 4" name and going back to "WBZ 4"...as well it should. I think it was stupid to change the name of the stations in Boston and Philadelphia. Removing heritage call letter monikers from WBZ and KYW were stupid decisions made by Viacom. Hopefully, Channel 4 will go back to using the "WBZ 4" name. Now if only Philadelphia goes back to calling themselves "KYW 3" everything would be good!

That would niether upset me nor would it suprise me.
Here's a link to the story (assuming it's still active):

Let's get the message out to the station's new boss, WE WANT WBZ TV BACK!!!!!!!

Also, I read somewhere that they still refer to it on the air as "KYW 3" every now and then, but I'm not sure if that is current. In addition, WJZ and KPIX kept the the Westinghouse Font and the logos.

When I go back to the Philadelphia area to visit family and friends, I try to watch the news. I haven't seen or heard KYW-TV refer to the "KYW 3" moniker at all, since the changeover to "CBS 3." What you read could be correct, however, I just haven't seen or heard it.

I just hope WBZ goes back to "WBZ 4" and KYW goes back to "KYW 3" along with the old school "3" font...just like WJZ still uses in their "13."
