I'm not sure if this is coming out on the air, however I'm listening to the stream and hearing Spanish in the background. The Spanish Legal ran along with some other stuff. Is this the computer doing this or did someone hit the wrong button? Also the stream is really distorted.
 
Not listening to the stream, I couldn't tell you. I'm listening off air and am not hearing any spanish anything.

But someone tell them to state their phone number more than once an hour if they want calls! ;)

Stream was good here in Oklahoma. Great show guys and enjoyed the history pieces. Looking foward to next week's broadcast.
 
Thanks for the kind words, Radi0chic and Phillip, and thanks to you both for calling in! Tech issues are just a fact of life, and we'll just have to keep checking on them during the show as we did on the last run. I'm just glad to have the airtime. Personally, I'd rather have a BOARD OP myself, to relieve myself of the headache! Or at least a Garth Brooks-type of mic/headset so I can move around without keeping my lips attached to a stationary mic. Speaking of, can anyone suggest a decent mic/headset unit that I could afford? (You know where I work, so $$$ is definitely a consideration.) I've looked at those "gaming" headsets, but I don't think "noise cancelling" and no specs for mic quality on the packaging would make any of those work in a broadcast environment...and the monsterous ones we use in the chopper would be overkill. Even BSW and some of the other broadcast-quality sellers have little to no selection with such a thing. Any ideas? Or a good used set out there for sale, anyone?
 
Dang.. I missed it. I had a feeling I was supposed to be doing something last night at 6. Anyone have it saved as an MP3 file less than 20 megs that can email it to me?

There's a mid-priced Sennheiser unit....around $250....that has a good sounding mic and well isolated earphones.
Don't even consider a gaming headset, they're not compatible. Spend the bucks, you won't be sorry.
 
Sorry Mike.....unless you want to borrow my 4 year old daughter's wireless headset / mic that she uses to sing for competition, I wont be much help. If you do find a good one it might be worth a try to check out any on either EBay or Craigslist. Crazy how many deals you can find out on these sites!
