When classic hits PD and TV news babes collide

Seriously. The news director's politically-correct protests are a major load of hypocritical crap. EVERY commercial TV operation in the US these days hires their on-air talent based primarily on their youthful good looks. If they didn't, most TV news broadcasts would look a lot more like The McLaughlin Group than Charlie's Angels. Most have their anchors sit behind glass tables, or no table at all (and/or periodically show a full view of them standing up) to ensure that viewers get a good look at the long, hot legs in high heels and short skirts of their female talent. It's the stations themselves that are "objectifying" these women in the name of ratings. Give me a break.
