On Tonights WFAA 5:30pm news, the story was the Katrina anniversary. The film footage shown was of the Recent Houston Floods a couple of months ago. The voice over by Brad Hawkins:"Evacuees remember Hurricane Katrina" Mrs ------shown here wading in her New Orleans Neighborhood." ..Video shows Interstate 610 plus two men rescuing someone from a car. When oh when are they ever going to get their act together ovver there?

Though there's another I-610 that serves as an inner beltway around downtown Houston. Maybe the station got the two mixed up.

hey'there azumanga john back again! the station got it right! the 610 they show is a 5mile stretch that runs north of downtown n.o! though i live in austin now,i'am a native houstonian! who remembers when 610 was our only loop! now we have three, god! it sucks getting old!! adios, amigo!

There can be more than one of the same 3-digit interstate number relating to a 2-digit interstate, as long as there aren't more than one in a state. The same goes for I-635 in Dallas...there's another I-635 in Kansas City as well--but again, different state. Another example, there are I-220 freeways in both Shreveport and Jackson, MS.
