Most recent confirmation from the Globe a few wks ago:
http://www.boston.com/ae/tv/articles/2005/09/16/severin_set_to_break_out_of_boston/

excerpt:
Severin won't give out any information on his personal life, including his age. He does say he'll continue to broadcast from his home in Sag Harbor.

''Why would I leave?" he says. ''I'm in a 200-year-old house surrounded by water and I'm in a barn that's been converted into a broadcast studio. I roll out of bed every morning and I'm able to surf and kayak. I've worked hard. I'm the beneficiary of technology I don't understand."

Do you think this sponser, http://www.solidsurfaces.com/testimonials.htm, drove from Leominster Massachusetts to Sag Harbor when they replaced his kitchen countertops? Jay's radio testimonial for the work this sponser did in his kitchen can be found here http://www.solidsurfaces.com/About Us_files/About Us_files/Jay Severin - Track 01.mp3

Do you really believe every testimonial is authentic, or based on personal experience?

I'm sure he drives up all the time for office visits with Dr. Bruce Houtttttttttttttttton, too. One thing for sure is that the IS up here for the live shows like the ones at F-1 Boston.

When did he stop? Sept 16

Jay who? Hasn't done a show since Thu. Sept 15th.

It really isn't that hard to figure out. Some simple google sleuthing yields numerous references to Jay's writing for the local Sag Harbor newspaper as a rotating columnist. He has a wife named Renee (they were married in 1997 - send him an anniversary card on May 17th) and a young daughter. In short, his on-air persona was completely fraudulent.

Which testimonials (from any radio peronality) do you believe and why do you find them believable?

Earl, I guess I'm a bit of a skeptic -- I tend to disbelive all of them. Except the ones Howie Carr does for food establishments. Somehow those sound credible :)

And a pic of Jay and Renee Severin

A post by "Somerville" on FreeRepublic said "Jay was a senior at Vassar College when I was a freshman. Only then his name wasn't Jay Severin. It was Jimmy Severino and he was a townie, from Poughkeepsie.
He was no preppie - but he was obsessed with them. He used to pretend he was one and would walk around with the collar of his polo shirts up. When he met a new person, he never asked them what their name was. His first question was always " Are you a preppie ?"

In an email reply, www.solidsurfaces.com said their only location is in Leominster MA and that they have done work in the Sag Harbor New York area.

Good detective work Earl.

Now, the next item on the agenda is to find out if Jay actually bought those two cars from Auttttttttttttto Lines.
