When Did John Jay and Rich become so Awful!

I tuned in today to check the show out, totally awful radio! Rich seems like a nice enough guy on the radio that listens to his callers and cares somewhat about the lives of the people that call in however, John Jay is a total idiot. He blows off the callers and only wants to talk about himself and his kids. A few times during the show I heard him treat the other people in the room like they were unimportant to the "show" and when they talked to Anne Hatthaway, first thing out of JJ's mouth was "In the theater, when you dropped the coat, everybody laughed.." He may have been referring to the trailer however never said that but later he told her he hadn't seen the movie. Terrible interview and terrible interaction with the cast and callers. How did these two get a syndication deal??

Man I know there is a lot of "inside baseball" here, but I don't even know what radio station theses guys are on...or what is this ? ???

The are on KRQ but last I heard they are also on in San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, Portland and a couple of stations in Colorado. It's just bad radio.

Their radio "empire" is shrinking (hooray!)--they've been dumped in San Diego and Denver. Hopefully a trend that will continue...

Big Markets to lose, I wonder if it is because they are losing the connection with the Audience. When they were just a force to be dealt with in Tucson or even Phoenix, it seemed as though they cared about the listeners, it doesn't have that feel anymore. Deflate some of that Ego Air out of John Jays head and maybe pay attention to what others are saying in the room and those that call in, they could reconnect. The Celebrity audio files are nice to have but please, playing 5 to 10 in a row? I would rather hear a spot for expanding my width.

With that said, I like that they have a platform to help people during the holidays and I hope they get somebody to knock the JJ Ego down a few pegs before they lose more listeners and markets.
 
I am sure Carrie or for that matter Obi could shed some light on what has happened in that room. Whatever happened to those two? Is Obi still producing that Radio Show? You never hear him mentioned

...Carrie posted to her Facebook page that she was moving to the East Coast a few months back...
 
The fact they've been dropped in San Diego is HUGE-especially when you consider that IIRC, Debbie Wagner (formerly of CC Tucson) is one of their mentors.

That has to tell them something. Wagner gets in there, blows out the Heritage San Diego Morning Show, brings in her boys from Tucson and then knocks them out. I use to enjoy listening to them when John Jay sounded like he cared about the others in the room. I have never heard a Radio DJ blow off callers the way he does. Losing them One at a Time is what it sounds like to me.
