Just got back from Portland and noticed that KKCW and KYCH were both playing Christmas music already. When did this happen? I thought KKCW didn't switch until like the week of thanksgiving.
 
Charlie jumped in on the 9th and K103 followed suit on the 11th. K103 was the #1 rated station in the country last Christmas so you have to expect this to happen. The Fish is bound to switch the day after Thanksgiving and I wouldn't be surprised to see KUPL go to a Country-leaning Christmas format.
 
Charlie FM switching to X-Mas? Format flip after 12/25? I rarely see Adult Hits stations switching to the Santa format.

As an established mid-pack performer, I don't see where Charlie has anything to lose by going Christmas. They can afford a few weeks and will probably end up the #2 station.
