When did towers begin to sprout on the bluff in Roxborough?

Here's a Scott Fybush Tower Site of the Week with lots of history and pictures:
http://www.fybush.com/site-031002.html

His story is that 6 has always been in Roxborough, starting in 1947. 3 was on Mermaid Lane in Wyndmoor and 10 was on the PSFS Building. However, there was also a very early TV tower on the Architects Building at 17th and Sansom; not sure which station used it, might have been 3. It eventually was used by WHYY/WUHY on Channel 35 until that station went dark.
