When did WLQT "Lite" 99.9 become "99.9 Lite"?

Maybe they're trying to re-brand all the CC "Lite" stations as "Lite-FM" since the Lite in NYC is billed as 106.7 Lite-FM? Just a guess. I noticed it yesterday morning during Kim Faris' morning show.

Actually it's 99.9 LITE FM (99-9 LITE FM...the point is not used when id'ing the station). The switchover was on Monday October 5th. With the change came a change of web address. It's now http://www.999litefm.com. You can still access the previous web address but it maps you to the change.

Are they running Premium Choice in any dayparts? Maybe this change is to mesh better with the canned stuff if it is imaged as "Lite FM."

I heard Cindy Spicer this morning (10am) who is based in L.A. She voicetracked for Mix before. I didn't hear closely enough if she was doing a custom show or if it was a Premium Choice feed.

The only Cindy Spicer I'm seeing, is based in San Diego at KUSS-FM 95.7, and she does the morning show for them.

10 AM ET is 7 AM in San Diego. She'd be right in the middle of her AM show.

If that's her, she's voicetracked, as she isn't listed on the Premium Choice offerings.

Cindy is on WMMX not WLQT. She is not doing PC for WMMX because she ID's the station into songs, talks about the station, etc. If it was PC, it would all be generic. Yes she does it from the West Coast.

That was what I figured...voice tracked out of the West Coast, into Dayton.

Noticed it a few days ago. Not sure there's a reason that makes sense.

Saw the change on the WLQT website about a week ago. "Lite FM"'s branding was first used at 93-3 WLZT formerly in Chillicothe now licensed to Ashville and has been part of CC's Columbus cluster since roughly around 2003.

As far as Cindy Spicer goes, she's been back on WMMX since early June. She used to do the 7-Midnight show via VT, then they replaced her with Doreen, and now they brought her back to V/T middays.
My guess is CC is trying to rebrand Lite FMs across the nation as I said previously.

"trying to rebrand Lite FMs across the nation"

...or more generic, more often.
