When is dance coming back?

Actually Nine FM airs Dance Factory Saturdays 8p-5a. Too underground and not enough vocal stuff for my taste with the mixes, but it is pure dance however.

And from a previous post apparently Love FM airs a mixshow on Saturdays. Sounds like they were airing Musto & Bones "Dangerous"

For the best option, I would check out wbmx.com. Their internet site is awesome. Best around hands down.

There will never be another all-dance station in Chicago PERIOD. When you are all on your deathbeds...you will stil be asking this same question. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! If you like dance, buy CDs or get satelite. That's the only way it's going to happen.

I think SOME changes have happened in the Chicago radio market concerning dance music. The Dance Factory on NINE FM and I noticed the B96 AFTER PARTY is now airing dance mixes again during the first hour block of the party, which they weren't doing for a while. I guess it finally sunk into programming heads that the market wants more dance mixes.

You're right, that and rock have no audience. At least not the one that listens to the radio. They're already past that point. They're on myspace and other places. Good call!

Dance mixes do not equate to a dance station. It's not like LOVE-Fm is playing the dance mix of the new Jessica Simpson or J-LO! They're playing KC, Kool and the Gang and Patrice Rushen. So to say that the programming heads have figured out that dance is wanted is a moronic statemnt to make. No one cares about dance unless you're at a club...unless of course you worked for Energy back in the day!!!!! You want dance back? Win the lotto and buy a stick so you can watch your $$$$$ go right down the drain.

First off, don't call my statement about dance mixes "moronic". I have NEVER insulted any of the posts you have made, so don't insult mine. Quit being so rude. All I was saying was that listeners actually probably wanted more dance/house music and that is why B96 started to mix it in the first hour again. I NEVER said this equated to a dance station, BUT at least it is something. Sometimes you have to look at the glass as half full rather than half empty.
