I'm listening to Jack 101.1FM online from New York and I really love it. I love All The Music And The Promo Guy. When Is Infinity Gonna Put It Here In Albany New York Already And Make An Exact Copycat Of Jack 101.1FM In New York In It's Full Entirety?? Here's A Couple Of Suggestions, One Put It On 101.1FM In Albany Or Two Infinity Should Take Over WDCD 96.7fm And Put It On That Station Since That Format Is Garbage Anyway. By The Way Who At Infinity Can I Write To About This Or Do I Write To Them Through 1011jackfm.com For This?

Even Better on 104.5, Not 106.5. 104.5's Current Format Is No Good, So In Conclusion, Let Infinity Buy Them Out And Turn That Into Jack 104.5FM And Make It Exact Like Jack 101.1FM In New York ASAP!! Someone Please Send This To Infinity To Get This Done Already.

Does Infinity own any stations in Albany? If so, I am surprised Jack didn't come for a LONG visit to Albany.

Let's see...let's jump on ANOTHER "format of the month!" I would hope that radio ownership has gotten smarter now that so many have gone the way of following the "fad" format at the moment only to switch again a year down the road. Kinda tough to build station loyalty that way. Regent learned (one can hope) after the "Jammin' Oldies" and "All-80's" fiascos. As far as 104.5's format is concerned now, they are probably better than over half of the "rock" stations in Albany and they're a HOT AC! How many god-awful rock stations can you have in that market?! I say take one of them and flip to Jack if they want. At least at 94.5 if you have to switch back in a year no one will know!!!!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. One of the things Jack stations brag about -- and receive a lot of criticism for -- is their refusal to take requests and their often-times rude display of such.

But if someone wanted to buy 96.7 to turn it into the Urban AC for which you've been pining for years, I'm sure you'd have no problem with it.

How about Clear Channel buying 96.7 and turning it into an exact copy cat of WKTU in NYC? Todays dance hits with 90s dance hits and disco or make it the capitol regions classic dance hits like wnew. Albany Needs A KTU Copycat Or a WNEW Copycat NOT JACK!!

Albany is not a mini-NYC. Dance just won't work up here, not for a station that wants to make money. WVCR might be able to get away with it, but not the commercial stations.

And 96.7 is owned by Crawford Broadcasting, a Christian company. Don Crawford isn't going to give up his bully pulpit in Albany to an outfit like Clear Channel.

I guess your right about 96.7 but think of this, 92.3 and 102.3 both owned by 2 different copies have basically the same format of both stations which is stupid and a waste in my opinion, why have 102.3 for todays hit music when you got Fly 92.3 which has been around a long time serving Albany with todays hit music and doing a good job of it? What Clear Channel should do is take 102.3 and make it into either a ktu or since that won't work up here, why not turn it to Kiss 102.3 playing Classic Soul & Todays R&B like WRKS Kiss FM in nyc which is owned by emmis? We don't have one of those here and that kind of a format could do well in Albany plus they keep the title they have now for the station except change it around. or how about bringing back the Jammin Oldies station on 102.3? one of these could probably make money for clear channel instead of having a repeat format of 92.3 on 102.3.

Nope. How about realizing that Clear Channel is maxed out in the Capital District?

102.3 is not designed to make money for clear channel! The sole purpose is to gain the attention of the 50,000 watt fly 92 and make them more concerned with kiss than CC's big 50,000 pyx, river and wgy. Sad but true and its been working perfectly lately. This is why you see two CHR stations in the market and fly going down the drain.
