When is WNSH going 50,000 watts?

Hey Raccoon Radio - maybe you can answer this.

Was up at the studio of WNSH last week and noticed the newspaper article
on the bulletin board about the station going 50,000 watts.

Do you know when?

How is station owner Keating Wilcox?

Does he still have his other properties - on AM 1570 elsewhere?

thanks

The permit is for 50,000 watts daytime only, with an extremely directional pattern nulled to the south and southwest. Don't expect to hear much, if anything, from it in Boston.

It will cover the North Shore very well, and broadcast to a lot of fish out at sea. It'll probably be loud and clear a ways up the Maine coast, and over the water in Nova Scotia.

Not sure--it was mentioned online (various boards, and on the FCC site)
and he may have even got permission but has yet to "build" the CP.
Some feel that the "50,000 watts" deal was so he could boast about
having that signal when trying to eventually sell the station. Lots of
fishies and people up the coast of Maine might be able to get it but
in Boston...?

And supposedly he wants to try and knock WPEP 1570 from Taunton off air,
but even if that happens, it might not necessarily make the station
reach Boston etc

I think Keating sold off his other stations.
