If it's 3:00 pm, there's a 50 per cent chance that SOMEBODY ELSE doing Jay Severin's shift on 969 FM talk. But why must it always be one of the regular weekday yakkers, either live, or as is happening now (4:00 pm Thursday the 7th) on tape delay? Isn't Boston radio veteran Jimmy Myers already on the payroll, doing a regular weekend gig? Wouldn't it make sense to have him come in and be a substitute host once in a while? He's well-known in the market, and it would alert listeners that he does have a shift on the station during the weekend. I wonder if there's any reason why, of all the folks on the 969 FM payroll who could fill in for the regular talk-show hosts, Jimmy Myers is ALWAYS overlooked? Any suggestions?
