WHEN RADIO WAS on BBM -- no more?

Live in Roswell, GA, and the other night at 1:05 AM (midnight CDT) I tuned to 780 to listen to WHEN RADIO WAS. Instead they rolled right into the next hour of news.

The WRW website still lists them as the affiliate in Chicago, but I'm wondering if that is still so.

Where else could it go in that market?

I don't know. Maybe they moved it to FM-only (105.9) which would be ridiculous since it's mostly an AM-friendly program. But sister WSCR (Formerly WMAQ) did make some NFL-games exclusive to their FM HD simulcast, WJMK HD-2. Was there some breaking news or something going on that day? I know the September 11th Anniversary was the day before.

As for listening on AM in your area in the event WBBM-AM did indeed drop it, you can listen on their website, as well as several affiliate websites. You might be able to hear it on 1120 KMOX St. Louis Sunday's 1AM-5AM Central. I believe they call it the KMOX Radio Theatre, but it may or may not be When Radio Was or just simply Old Time Radio.

As for a replacement in Chicago, maybe 560 WIND or better yet 890 WLS since they seem to be having some ratings issues.
