When seasons collide: Pats on 98.5, B's on 100.7 Monday night

Mark of BRW mentions there is a rare conflict in which both Pats and B's have a game at basically the same time. Pats will air on 98.5 while sister station WZLX 100.7 will have the B's skating right to left across your radio vs les Habs.

A few yrs ago WBZ (AM) still had the B's and one night had the AM doing election night coverage
while WODS ran the B's. Another similar conflict had the B's on 100.7 one night, I think.
 
surprised that Bs didnt go to WBZ AM 1030 instead. Figured that 98.5 Sports Hub would keep Pats -Chiefs coverage.
should hear promtion of Bs game on WZLX , 98.5 Sports Hub and sports reports on WBZ 1030 newscasts.
 
They could have but want Rea on. BZ has a great after dark signal but then again those in other parts of New England prob. have B's affiliates anyway (unless they're opting for the Pats game or the WW1 MNF

I find that strange that they're not moving it to WBZ-AM as well. My guess is that they're selling FM to the advertisers and want to make sure it stays on FM. As for worrying about people beyond Boston hearing WBZ, I don't think that matters. It sounds impressive to the listener to say "reaching X amount of states...blah, blah, blah", they care most about those with PPM meters in Greater Boston.
 
On top of these two games, B.C. basketball (who got smoked by the Cross last Friday) is playing tonight. I know he's hard to feel sorry for, but it's been a rough autumn for Meterparel.
 
I'm sure "The Real Post Game" will be on W E E I. You can count on that. BC Hoops last only ??? Two hours?? The latest ??? maybe 3 hours?
So I'm sure "The Real Post Game" will be on W E E I
 
Could be but acc to their schedule they are going to "ESPN Radio" at the end of the B.C. game. Real Post Game show will air after next Sunday's Pats'-Eagles game though

Despite what the sched page had said earlier WEEI did indeed have local talk on around 11 pm during 4th quarter of Pats game...not sure how long they stuck with it
