When the computer goes out

It was during the local morning show, so it wasn't that big a deal. The DJ/station owner just did things the old way, as he said.

Mike Huckabee aired as usual at 8:30 but the commercials and recorded weather did not. The DJ had to tell us who his sponsors were and what the forecast was. In the middle of a bunch of songs the commercials aired. Normally, it's a "six-pack" with all music between the last two commercial breaks, based on requests.

I've never heard that version of "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King. His voice was really weak. The DJ commented that was a really early recording.
