The corp gods are complaining of poor revenues, Google is hiring up ALL the top market radio sellers (several very key and prominent radio sellers are gonesville) and dollars continue to slide into internet, cable tv and outdoor....

The problem is the PRODUCT!!!!!....

Not the salesmanager, or the production director or the GM....or the reps....the PRODUCT is the problem...the problem is no one wants to say their product stinks...its easier to move GSM and LSM and GMs out the door every few months and maybe you will find someone that will beat last year for a few months....its an endless cycle of people being chewed up by corp higher ups that DONT HAVE THE GUTS to figure out the product problems...

Radio in Atlanta is really awful boys and girls...the tight playlists, the same formats and the jocks that are allowed to say three sentences an hour is KILLING a great medium...

CAN someone - somewhere figure this out and give us quality and then what happens is Magic and the money then will return....until then "fire the sales manager...." will be the Corp gods battlecry because they dont know how to do anything else.

The magic word is.........

You left out 1 important part. The part that will save radio. That word is....all together now..... local!

Yes local. I see it coming but not until these big corporations run terrestrial radio into the ground and leave it for dead to go to Internet or Sat radio.

Who cares anymore, it'll never change for the better. Just get satellite radio.

I installed XM over the weekend and it’s great. I highly recommend it and wish I’d made the switch sooner!
I have sirius now just because of Stern, but overall XM is better.

Thanks to Clear Channel! I didn’t ever consider XM until they ruined Atlanta radio. Now, I’m listening to O&A for morning drive and I have tons of choices for talk, classic old radio shows, news, and music.

My problem with satellite
I have a radio in the bedroom, kitchen, living room. My son has a bedroom radio. Then I get in the car and listen while driving and then I listen at my desk at work. How can I listen without carrying a little portable around? Do you buy 8 radios?
If there's a way around this I'm on it
