When Will Austin, Texas get MeTV?

You know that retro channel on KSAT 12.2 which plays the old shows like Rockford Files? Why don't they have that channel in Austin?

We have Cool-TV and a MeTV music channel, but no retro channel.

I wonder if there are any plans to carry MeTV in Austin?

What is the MeTV music channel?

I would suggest contacting the stations directly and requesting that they add MeTV. Probably won't make a difference, but it's all you can do. There are several stations in Austin with no sub-channels.

Too bad that these minor networks such as MeTV and AntennaTV don't do on-line streaming so that those of us in unserved markets can still watch their programming. I suspect that there are syndex issues with that approach.

alot of it has to do with who the owner of the station is and who they are chummy chummy with in regards to subchannels

MeTV music channel airs on Time Warner Cable Channel Channel 15, they used to also be on Analog UHF back in 2007.

MeTV is the Memorable Entertainment Channel that airs on KSAT HD-2, Post-Newsweek owns KSAT TV.

I don't think Post-Newsweek owns any Austin stations.
