when will hot 97 stream

i read on rr online .com that emmis radio was gonna stream stations in fall here we is almost in 2008 whats the hold will they do it or not

The latest news was that all Emmis stations start streaming by fall, but it's stil quiet about this issue...So the same answer you have from me on the LA board...

Probably an issue with removing commercials on hot 97 they have a weird commercial schedule IMO

And Emmis' streaming provider of choice, StreamAudio, doesn't exactly have what you would call a first-rate system for removing and replacing the on-air commercials. It frequently breaks down on several of their client stations, and in some cases, it stops working altogether for weeks at a time.

Maybe they can decide to work with another provider like streamaudio. There are lots of streamingproviders so that's no excuse. B.t.w. the soundquality of streamaudio is very bad.

There's StreamTheWorld.com which CBS stations virtually exclusively use for all their stations now. What sucks is that their Flash scripting prevents the listener from digging out the root URL so you can't play it externally in your media player, bypass banner ads on the station's player, etc.
