When will they get local newscasts back on KDUH Ch. 4 Scottsbluff?

I see KOTA has been making short news inserts for KDUH from KOTA's studios in Rapid City. When will they get local newscasts (not inserts), stuff from Scottsbluff, back to KDUH? I don't think KOTA will because of the bad economy. Lots of satellite stations do only news inserts, except a very few stations.
When will local Scottsbluff newscasts (come on, not 5 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour) come back to KDUH TV4?

Two months and no answer? That should tell you something!

The real answer is "Probably, never." Scottsbluff, or more accurately, the Scottsbluff "market" (37,000 people and 500,000 cows) is just too small in today's era of cheap operations to run a full-tilt news operation. Hell, even Rapid City and Cheyenne are on the edge.

Local TV ain't what it used to be, and tiny isolated markets like Scottsbluff are the first to be left in the dust.

If there is any consolation, this development does provide local radio with an opportunity to shine. Is anyone grabbing the chance to be THE NEWS SOURCE and grab the few bucks that once went to TV?

KOLT? KNEB?

I believe KSTF channel 10 in Scottsbluff did have local news or inserts for a good while there in the 90s, now it's completely simulcasted with KGWN etc. out of Cheyenne.
