When will Buddy get out?

And, more important, will you vote for him when he does?

No question in my mind he'll run for Mayor again.

Equally, no question that he'd win!

Hell, if I still lived in Providence I'd vote for him
if only to tick off the feds!

But an even bigger question...would he ALSO go back to
talk radio?

He's out in 2007. I think he'll run again. Don't know if he'll win, but I agree many will vote for him. If nothing else, he's blatant about saying he is a politician. Others call themselves elected officials but he makes no bones about being a politician.

Whether or not he'll end up in talk radio depends on the landscape in 2007. I think he should get a hair-weave now. Wearing a headset must be murder on that thing on his head.

I don't think he can again legally

I do believe that Buddy Cianci, a two time convicted felon, a twice elected and twice resigned Providence mayor cannot run for elected office again. But, then again, Marion Barry did the same thing in Washington. He's STILL involved with Washington politics. So, who knows?
______________

I think resulting from the first Buddy plead-out,laws were changed allowing for convicted felons who do not do prison time (as well as those who do,obviously) to be excluded from filing for election. Buddy was allowed to run again on the technical point that he'd never ended up, in jail..

The scum Cianci has served 1 year and a day in prison.
The law is ,if you serve more than that, you CAN`T hold political office.
I`m sure PRO and HJJ will be in a bidding war for him.
Maybe if Craig Price, 4 time murderer ever gets out of jail,HJJ and PRO
will offer HIM a job too.
SCUM are REWARDED in R.I.

Re: NEVER.

At least Buddy can lay claim for inspiring the name of the Jr. High school in
Quahog as seen in "Family Guy"

>>Buddy Cianci Junior High School
This is the school that Chris goes to. Randall Fargus, Peter's favorite teacher from when he was a kid, teaches here. It was at this school that Peter's dirty magazines were found that forced him to resign from school board president.

Cianci, (and others) have made us the laughing stock of the nation.
If HJJ or WPRO 'rehire' him, I`d be in favor of a boycutt.

Ah, but is he married?

If so, his wife could run and he could still control the city.

Or if he isn't married at the moment he might want to consider
some of those jailhouse proposals we're always hearing about.
Frustrated ladies on the outside corresponding with inmates...
something right outta Law & Order (but we'll hope, not outta
CSI).

If in doubt, consider a former president who (for different reasons,
sad to say) cannot run again but whose wife.........

Of course the two cases are sorta backward. In the first instance
he would be outsider calling the shots and in the second it was
just the opposite.

In a perfect scenario, Mrs. Buddy (if there is one) could be the
titular mayor and Buddy, himself, could do a talk show promoting
the hell outta "her" agenda!

Omigod! Please don't anybody give Buddy a copy of THIS post!

I think the closesthttp://www.buddycianci.com/ came to a wife was companion Wendy Materna, who sort of vanished.
