When?

..will the Nearly Bald One realize his station has a strategic alliance with FOX10? His latest needless assault is on Jenn Burgess.

..will Sandusky sell 1440 AM and let someone make money with the lumberyard stick? A new owner would take advantage of the 52 watt nighttime authority.

..will KT'R stop running promos for the Rosey Show an hour after it's over? Do they think listeners will wait another week to hear the show?

..will FreeFM put something better on after Leykis? Phil Hendrie interviewing Phil Hendrie is getting on our nerves.

..will KSLX stop sounding like KOOL?

..will KOOL stop sounding like they did last year and the year before that?

..will KT'R dump Tony Snow and counterprogram KFYI? Seems like we're dog-piling the men in secret underwear, but 9-Noon reeks!

..will 3TV host the Men's Expo at the convention center?

I've said for years that Gumpdusky should just donate it to the Maricopa County Community College District so they could move NPR programming to 1440 and let KJZZ be a 24-hour Jazz station. Being a daytimer wouldn't be a problem with NPR.

I like the oldies on 1440 but I realize that KAZG is just a writeoff for the Gumpsters.

XTRA is probably happy that Hendrie's finally off their station.

Probably when men actually start watching KTVK. Their only non-female-oriented programming is Diamondbacks' games.

>I agree.. maybe Hendrie is good late, and I mean late late at night but not 8-11. I don't care if it is local or not at this point, would like something interesting in the 8-11 slot. I hear Toucher and the gang are going to be out in Atlanta so lets get me to phoenix!

The new 'TAR PD Russ Hill (late of KSL-AM/SLC ) was aked about this in his first meet n' greet with the staff and he indicated that there will be "no long term relationship with that show" -or somethin like that.

Seeing he's only been on site for 3 weeks or so , he might want a little time to find a good replacement instead of just yanking the plug and tossing something else in....

As a faithful public radio listener, I have to say an AM signal would cause me to either move to another market or reluctantly get Sirius in my car. One of the things that makes NPR great is their ability to put together immersive, highly produced (stereo) programming, even in news packages. I'd rather listen to snow (either Tony or the static kind) than amplitude modulated NPR. And no, not even IBOC AM is good enough.

The local KJZZ talent does produce fine features. Instead of 3, 30-second versions of the same story that skim the surface and are rotated every hour, you get 5 minutes of thoughtful immersion.
According to "studies," KJZZ tends to share listeners with KTAR more than any other station--or, at least, they did pre Tony Snow...Because the public station gets a discount to be rated by Arbitron, the ratings are not listed, but KJZZ has been coming in at # 7--which actually pushes KTAR to just below the top 10!

NEVER condemn the good things coming from National Public Radio. They provide a great service. AM would kill it --- especially a puny signal at night like that 1440 in the lumberyard...

Hey, when will FreeFM put on something good before Hendrie? I'm sick of hearing a middle aged perv acting like a horny 16 year old and talking to morons?

And again, it's not going to happen. Why pay for someone local to talk about getting laid when it's not much different in Phoenix as it is where any syndicated host lives?
