Where are they now?

The thread of "what I miss"...made me wonder where some of these Dallas Radio guys are...

So, does anyone know where they are now?

Redbeard
John Rody
Kenny Sargent
Alex Valentine
Ed Night
Bob Elliott

I was in San Francisco a few months ago, and heard Redbeard on one of the stations. I honestly could not tell you if it was an old syndicated show or not.... I was listening on the way from the airport to my hotel which was only a few short minutes.

He's syndicated, and heard in a few other markets.

Redbeard is on KZPS on Sunday Nights doing "In The Studio".

Dunno about the others, although I heard that Redbeard's dulcit tones has been in Dallas (thanks to Charles), but Jay, any lake will do... go jump in and cool off. She was hot, but can you imagine how tired that is by now? ;D

Yeah, she is probably really tired by now, but she was a looker. I also thought that Jennifer Reed, formerly of The Bone was pretty good looking as well.

Last I heard, Wendi was in southern California. She's done a little bit of hosting and acting in the area based on a Google search for her.

Redbeard - in east Texas somewhere; still doing a syndie version of "In the Studio"
John Rody - still doing computer stuff and developing websites for churches. Still maintains 'itsthezoo.com'
Kenny Sargent - WOW...he died many years ago, like in December 1969 of a heart attack
Alex Valentine - no idea
Ed Night - no idea
Bob Elliott - was at Memories 96.7 until they signed off permanently 3 years ago
Doc Morgan - still doing freelance voiceovers. Voice of The Ticket and Channel 8
Dick Siegel - at 95.9 The Ranch in Fort Worth.
Ron Engelman - no idea

Dick Siegel owns/operates KPIR in Granbury with his wife.

I guess Doc Morgan is full time freelance. I hear him in Houston doing Texas Ford Dealer TV and Radio spots and some imaging for KHOU-TV. Somebody told me that his brother was Bill (Flashback) St. James, is that true?

Wendy was in California last I heard. I'm pretty sure her last gig was at KZLA after working at KIIS. I still remember the Y-95 TV spot with her in those Guess jeans and hot pink top. A cutie for sure.

KHYI had the coolest control room I ever saw.

Doc Morgan does daily promos for a lot of television stations and imaging for a lot of radio stations in addition to his commercial VOs. I don't think he has a brother.

Kenny Sargent...don't believe the poster was talking about the old WRR 1310 AM guy, but the youngster who started in promotions at Q102 back in the '80's. And no, I don't where he is either.

Same with Ed Night, who worked nights at Q102. I don't believe he stuck with radio. Funny guy, who once referred to himself as a "photo negative of Sting."

The last I heard Alex Valentine was working at Arista Records/Nashville but after that, who knows.

Kenny Sargent is hosting is own shown on the SPEED Channel called Speed Freakz. I gave a speech with him about a year ago at our alma mater, SHSU.

Bill St. James is NOT Doc Morgan's brother. I've known Bill for over 30 years

That's correct! Doc's brother goes by "Capt'n Morgan", and he is in the Rum Business. ;D
