Where are They Now

Preston was a programming exec at CBS San Francisco, but I believe they blew him out in favor of Michael Martin.

I thought Tony Cox had his own agency or production business...

No clue as to where the others are, out of the business I suppose, but to where?

Billy Manders is in Reno, NV. on KKOH 780 Whatever happened to the Fabulous Fat Kid on KXOA 1470. Whatever happened to Don Wright KXOA, KNDE, KCBS, KYMX 96?

Back in the day Greg Lane and his wife ran a little shop in Old Sac, worked with him at Columbia School of Broadcasting at the time. Nice guy, wonder what happened to him as well. Worked with Don at Mix 96 in the 90's. He and his brother had an arcade machine business, the Wright Bros if I remember right. Curious about him as well

Greg Lane is alive and well in Fresno at KSKS. I worked with him briefly in 1987 at 97/KROY. I ran in to him in Fresno while I was doing some consultant work with Steve Rivers at Greg's sister station KWYE back in 2003. He's doing well there. he's a great guy.

Markk Preston and Mike Preston are one in the same. He changed his name when he left Sacramento.

You know we could add about 40 names to this thread as there are a lot of people who came through Sacramento over the years.

As far as Tony Cox goes, I believe he's still in town. Doing some VO work and is also overseeing some of his websites including arrested dot com.

Chris Collins is the GM of the China Sharks of the Chinese Hockey League---no kidding....check out it on San Jose Sharks website.
Chris's 15 yr old son Nick is trying out for Medicine Hat of the Western Jr. Hockey League. I worked with Chris at the SF Shamrocks back in 1977-78 and 79-80 seasons. Shamrocks were the champs of the PHL in that first season.

What about Jim Hawk at 92.1 when they were country at the beginning? He did the night show.

Thanks for a lot of good replies. Here is a new name,Donovan Blue.

Donovan Sebastion Blue. Worked at both KROY and KNDE. Left KCTC in the early 80's and went somewhere like Sonoma. Great production talent as I recall.

Didn't he also work at KSFM right around 1979-1980.
