Where can you find detailed info about Honduras stations?

During the Sporadic E event on June 29, when stations were being received from southern Mexico and the Caribbean in TX, I logged what I presume is Honduras station "Super K" on 89.5 MHz. As soon as I tuned to the frequency, I heard a "Super Estación" ID followed by SS music. I was never able to get another ID. The only match I can find between that slogan and 89.5 is Super K, and I saw on the TV FM Skip Log that other DXers in the general area had logged Honduras stations around that time.

Is there a list out there somewhere of Honduras and other Central America stations with call letters, transmitter location, ERP, etc.? If so, I haven't been able to find it. I've got the latest WRTH handbook, but it only lists FM stations in Tegucigalpa.

Thanks for the help.

Have you tried the WTFDA, or whatever it's called? The World FM-TV DX association. They may have a listing somewhere.

Also Wikipedia sometimes has info on radio stations in various countries. Not always, but it's better than nothing.

The only person I can think of who might know is David Eduardo.

Be sure to check all the different zones, by clicking the radio buttons at the top of the listings.

89.5 appears to be in Danlí, with the registered name of Súper 100 (Cien).

But... with the general lawlessness prevalent in Honduras, many stations are off the air, and many unauthorized ones are operating. This means use the list with caution.

Thanks for the all of the links and info. I remember hearing the DJ clearly say "Super Estación," which matches the Super K website. From the government station list, that matches up with VA0038 (Zona 4) in San Lorenzo, Valle; its page has a link to the Super K site's email address.

Is VA0038 the call sign or just an operator ID? And is there any place that lists the transmitter power of the Honduras stations?

Also, in regard to David's comment about the general lawlessness in Honduras, I recently had my hair cut by a new barber who is from there. He said that the kidnappings, violence, and corruption were a big reason his family left that country.

Keep in mind that call letters in much of Latin America are simply used for government administrative purposes, and seldom used on the air by most. In fact, when I wanted my station HCSP1 in Quito to ID as HCSP, the government said "no, you have to use a name".

Only a few heritage stations in some countries use calls, such as HRN in Honduras or LR3 in Buenos Aires. On one occasion when working with Mega 98.3 in Buenos Aires, we needed the call letters because some US company would not sell something to us without licenced calls; nobody at the station knew them and we had to call the government licensing bureau which took 3 days to find what they were.

I have a friend who works in radio in Los Angeles, and who owned a station on Roatan in Honduras. He sold it early this year as he found it too dangerous when he had to go to San Pedro or Tegucigalpa for a major airport or for business.
