Where can you watch the Stanley Cup?

After the whole NHL scheduling mess with NBC, it's a shame I even have to ask this question about a major sports championship being televised:

What channel will Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup be on in your market?

Here in Florida, Sun Sports is apparently airing Game 1, not sure about the second game.

Whoops! I guess this is only a local thing here in the Tampa Bay area. It looks like Games 1 and 2 will be shown on NBC everywhere else. Sorry for the confusion. Just delete this.

Actually, there could be issues in other markets with the change in schedule. Some NBC affiliates may have scheduled specials or "make-good" programming, expecting to pre-empt NBC's weak Saturday schedule.

This weekend is the Children's Miracle Network telethon, which some NBC affiliates (including WFLA in Tampa Bay) will show.

Last night's Game 1, at the Joe, and won by Detroit, aired on WBAL-11 Baltimore, which, according to my DirecTV grid, will air G2 at 8:00p ET tonight.

Here in Phoenix, AZ Games 1 & 2 were shown on our NBC affiliate KPNX. Game 3 was on Versus. Imagine one of the other Big 4 Sports having their showcase event(s) being on a second-tier cable channel.

Even though I'm not a huge hockey fan (love my Detroit Red Wings, really don't support Phoenix Coyotes) I think the final 2 minutes in a Stanley Cup game beats last 2 minutes in the Superbowl, World Series or NBA Finals. NHL is fast and always moving and one mistake changes the entire game.

you can watch it on the big screen on the sidewalk outside of Mellon Arena.
(at least the games carried by Versus. NBC lawyers have thrown a
monkeywrench for some reason)

I've been downloading the games usually within a few hours after they air from newsgroups. We suspended our sat tv service for the summer so I've had to learn to improvise in order to watch sports. But so far we have managed to save $130 over two months so it's almost worth it.
