Noticed that KYTX/Nacogdoches Sports Director Brian Joyce has flown the coop. Any word on where he went?

I believe he got a job as a sports reporter or maybe anchor at a station in Denver.

Lucky him. He gets to be where it snows in the winter. Kinda makes me jealous...

He did go to Denver. He signed off after their Friday night football scoreboard show last Friday night.

Anyone know if they have hired a replacement yet?

Eric Sullivan....His bio isn't listed on the station website as of yet...just his pic

Might take a while...Stormy the Weather Dog's bio says, "Just a little over 2 months ago a little pup was found..." Hmmm. (I like dogs, but never liked the gimmick. Isn't it time to find Stormy some old couple with a comfy couch?)

Only if Stormy has a bone to pick with CBS 19.

Brian Joyce is a good catch for Denver. He did well in the East Texas area and put a lot of effort into his sports product. A lot of media watchers were saying he wouldn't be long in moving up, that a more attractive job was awaiting him to ship tape and apply. He did.

I believe Brian's at KUSA Ch. 9. A really good NBC affiliate.

Anastasia Bolton (formerly of KETK56) is also a reporter there.

KUSA's people usually go on to big jobs. Heidi Collins of CNN was there a few years ago.

Hey, Bill!

Glad to see you're still checking in every now and again. How's the PNW these days??

Life's pretty wonderful here in Washington. Getting into our 'wet' season the next few months. Very UK like, mossy, gray etc. The sunbreaks are nice when they happen.

So far I've managed to stay busy with voice-over work, writing, and running our speaking business. We're already getting snow at Mt. Baker, so I'll start get some snowboarding in starting next month. Saw some orcas this summer in Puget Sound. Vancouver BC and Seattle are pretty cool places to have within an hour's drive.

I listen occasionally online to ET stations just to try to keep up. Sounds like you guys have had some changes all over the market since I left last December. Also pleased to see my old friends at KDOK are doing pretty good in the ratings lately.

By the way, I got to visit Tyler last August.....uh, I don't miss humid 105. Think I'll stay here.

I'll be in touch!

B.
