O'Reilly, Savage, and Humphries, all currently on KFMS/Salt Lake City ("97.5 FM Talk"), are being added to Ogden-based KLO come September. Did I miss a trade article or other news about the demise of the not-a-year-old KFMS? While I think we all realized that the station, which stole Savage from CC's perennial #2 N/Ter KNRS by agreeing to clear a bunch of other TRN crap, would fail, I can't find any proof that it will once KLO assumes it's only good shows.
Of course, if it is true, it's not the best news for TRN: Mancow will lose another top-50 (FM) clearance in a market where no one else wants him, Jerry Doyle gets booted from the market, and although KFMS never showed up in 12+, KLO has no numbers and doesn't have the appeal of FM... just a third-string AM talker in a very saturated market. One good thing, though: I've actually heard KLO (along with KSL and KALL) in central Phoenix on some winter nights.
