Where do they get these silly Super stats???

At the beginning of the 2nd qtr. tonight we were told that NE and NYG's total of 2 first qtr. possessions between them were a SB record low.

When Jeff Feagles made his first punt tonight, we learned he was the oldest SB player in history.

I mean, where does the NFL get these silly stats? Surely Elias doesn't come up with superlatives for every possible situation? ???

I think the topper was the one where the Giants scored to go up 10-7 and they put up a stat that in this SB, the Giants scored with 11:05 left in the game. In the wk 17 game between the two teams, the Patriots scored the winning TD with 11:06 left in the game. Silly, obscure, and ultimately, meaningless.
