Where do you think... that they cut "At This Moment"?

"At This Moment" by Billy Vera and the Beaters sounds like it was recorded live (in some club). Was it? If so, where?

Recorded at the storied night club in west hollywood "The Roxy Theatre"...owned by record moguls, david Geffen, Lou ADler and Peter Asher.

This is one of those rare situations when they didn't edit a song when they really should have. All those repeated "...if I could just hold yous..." at the end of that song became cumbersome while this one was at the peak of its airplay. They really should have done a radio edit that left out all those repeated "if I could just hold yous" while it was a hit, and then they could go back to the original version once it became a recurrent. A few stations did, indeed, do such an edit, but they were the rare ones. (I remember this edited version being used on one of those compilation albums that used to be advertised on TV all the time.)

this kinda fits the bill to what I Did ...I edited three songs for air play.

A Day In The Life(Beatles)...Trimmed that end noise straight into the crescendo ending.
Susan (Buckinghams).......also trimmed that noisy portion 3/4 into the cut,
Come On Lets Go (McCoys)........trimmed down the two elongated false ending.

Brian Wilson did a great show at the Roxy back around 2000. Captured on CD for us all to listen to now. I saw him last fall at another venue that starts with an "R," the Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville. Other than including a performance of That Lucky Old Sun (his latest CD), the shows were remarkably similar. Only major difference is that Jeffrey Foskett (of Brian Wilson's band) sang lead on "Don't Worry Baby," while Brian sang it himself on the Roxy CD. Foskett also handled many of the falsetto background vocals that Wilson himself can apparently no longer handle now, himself.

It's on DVD, too? I've never really been interested in these cover versions, but I suppose it does represent Carl Wilson's last recorded work.
