...the money to pay for all the billboards and taxicab ads they're running now? I don't begrudge anyone the opportunity to promote, but KJZZ is non-commercial and much of their funding is from taxpayer sources. It seems like they ought to use their funds to improve the product, maybe hire more local talent, etc. I know Arbitron has ways of measuring non-comm listeners, and KJZZ generally does pretty well, but it seems a little wasteful to use money on promotion when you aren't measuring your audience to determine ad rates. Now, if, during their beg-a-thons, KJZZ is asking people to give money directly to support their marketing efforts, that's a different story.
