Where Does Mason Dixon Get His Bits?

Every morning, Mason plays some comedy bits or song parodies on his show. Wondering what his source is.

Today, he played a Sarah Palin "interview" with LL Cool J - you may recall he took umbrage to Fox News recycling an interview with the rapper for Palin's new semi-regular series - in the style of Dickie Goodman:

COOL J: ♫ I'm LL Cool J, and I can't live without my radio... ♫
"PALIN": Yeah, I just like that Sean Hannity...

Got to have a copy of that!

I believe he subscribes to the American Comedy Network (ACN) and/or Satellite Comedy Network (SCN). Back in 90's when Neil Roger's was on 620 WSUN he was unable to play many of his bits, and NOT happy about it, due to Mason owning the rights to them on Tampa Bay air waves. I'm not sure if either of these companies are still around or have morphed into something else now but I would also love to find some copies for myself. Maybe someone will have an answer.

"Beef, it's what's for dinner... possibly your last." ;)

You are correct. Neil could not play any ACN cuts because of Mason Dixon's exclusive in the Tampa market. Back then those bits were incredibly funny. ACN is still around. I believe it was
part of Jones which is now Dial Global. As I recall, Neil played mainly the Rock Comedy Network while on in Tampa, and I heard him say that they went out of business a few years ago. When those bits were dumped by management after the FCC hubbub over the wardrobe malfunction, the Neil show began its decline.

There used to be a joke service back in the 1970s called the Electric Weenie. Those jokes were hilariously funny at the time. Does anyone know if the Electric Weenie is still in business?

I think the Electric Weenie was cooked a long time ago. Went googling for it and just found a lot of old stuff, nothing current.

Well, you're barking up the right tree on that one. I thought "doggie heaven" was a trillion fire hydrants and a never empty bladder......

Mason uses ACN, Tom's Lake, Ron & Joy AllStar Comedy and The Complete Sheet for services. All top brands for comedy. It's show prep in an email, just rip and read. No heavy lifting requied!

Funny thing, but I didn't post the post above this one, but someone did using my name. Don't know how that happen, but it is strange.

jojo since i know you read these posts i have a question. how is bill connolly doing? while you and others from q105 have rebounded it appears to me he has not. a very good guy imo and i'm hoping he has found work. thanks.
