The guy is so much more than an Imus wannabe. I dont agree with everything he says but him and Dennis are at least listenable.

He should change his name to Gerery Callahan as this thread has dubbed him...don't listen to his show, don't read his column, could care less.

Is is possible that he may never return to radio ? One can only hope !

I broke my WEEI morning (well before 10) boycott and they had him paired with Dale Arnold today. Not a bad combo. Of course, if they could do something about losing Dennis, then it'd be that much better ;D

I worked as a radio sports reporter back in the early 80's at a couple of stations including one in Lowell. Gerry Callahan had just started at the Lowell Sun. This was 26 years ago so he must have been what 21 or 22.

I can say without hesitation he was along with a guy who is now on BZ radio, the biggest jerk I have ever met in my life. He just thought he was so good. Everyone who covered the Celtics etc back then was very friendly and helpful to one another except him. He wouldn't tell you if your coat was on fire. And I never thought he was much of a writer.

I listen to all kinds of radio and was friendly with John Dennis, but I have never and will never listen to a minute of that A-holes program.

If he doesn't come back it would make my year.
