Where has Live 105's morning show been?

If they got fired, all I can say is it's about time! Woody is the worst interviewer ever. Has he ever heard of preparation? I doubt they've been fired, though.

Eh, I prefer the idea that they could possibly be getting fired to actually checking the website. But yeah, they're probably interviewing in other markets. They make no bones about their hatred of the Bay Area. Another reason I hated their show (I just moved out of the area). It's kind of hard to win an audience over when you're constantly insulting them. Maybe they consider that to be a schtick, but I know plenty of people who were put off by their attitude.

I personnaly enjoy the show a lot. I listen for the humor and the "party like" atmosphere of the show. To each his own.

I wonder if the Live 105 morning crew realize how big a hacks that they are? People at my college make fun of them all the time. They must work real cheap to keep their jobs. But I guess you gotta fill time slots with something.

haha..... they get paid quite well, and the ratings are not too bad.... considering they are the only howard stern replacement in the country even showing on the ratings books.... most stern replacements are already gone ....
adam corolla? in SF? where is he? ...
 
It's easier to do nothing than to keep hiring and firing more morning teams.

well im sure you figured out by now, they are on vacation, but if you didnt.... just to give you a clue... when a morning show gets fired, They do not run "best of" shows. the show would be gone, replaced by nothing but music and imaging until a new show is in place.
 
I agree, it's not a very good show, but there just aren't a whole lot of good Rock Radio morning shows out there anymore. It's another instance of Lowered Expectations Radio in action.
 
This is a board of "radio professionals"?? Hmm, ok. Any professional would know that on air personalities get vacation days. Most tend to use the majority of them before the start of the spring/fall books. Hence, making this entire thread ridiculous. For the most part, this entire string of posts sounds like sour grapes from people who are unhappy with their current positions and/or jealous of those who are in the jobs they wish they could be.

That's one of the best things about their show, in my opinion. I grew up in the Bay Area and I LOVE the Bay Area, but certain aspects of this area are just BEGGING to be made fun of.

With a few exceptions, they usually just state the obvious:

1] Bums. Sometimes they complain about bums. I agree, though, they shouldn't make fun of the dirty, rotten, stinking, homeless, subhuman, devoid-of-anything-resembling-worth, piece of shit, filthy bums.

2] They make fun of Lexus-liberals from Napa and extremists from Berkeley. So what? So does the rest of the country.

3] Parking. I've heard them complain about parking in San Francisco. As ANYONE would who's ever visited this city.

Jesus, Velvet, isn't it okay for outsiders to criticize our city... at least when they make good points?
 
Jesus, Bob, aren't I allowed to have an opinion? I wasn't a regular listener of the show, I just happened to think it was bad form to gripe about how much they hate the area. Just my opinion, and, like I said, I knew plenty of others who felt the same way. I just don't think much of what they had to say about it was particularly compelling. Everything you pointed out could be said about any other major city...and the liberal bashing is pretty hacky. "Gee, we're new here, what can we make fun of? Let's see, San Francisco...tree huggers." Really original. Especially since you pointed out that the rest of the country already does it.

That Woody show did well in the Summer book 18-34 and trends for the fall (so far) look even better. It looks like people are listening to that show. Hell, it's the only thing worth listening to on that station. The music dayparts on Live 105 are putrid. It's not the jocks fault. Programming on that station is so tight that the program staff couldn't crap out a bee bee from their music asses.
Yea bush, pearl jam and nirvana. Thanks for stinking up the place. I've got all those albums on my iPod. I don't listen to those bands there either. The morning show is listenable... the rest of the station is for old music retards.

Can't blame them there... YOU try parking anywhere near Broadway & Battery every day and you'll be griping on the air too...
