Where have all the great jingles gone?

Oldies station WAKY-FM, Radcliff/Louisville, KY uses re-sings of what is, for my money, the greatest single jingle package from any company from any time...PAMS Series 27 ("The Jet Set," 1963)!

(Second place in my book is PAMS Series 18, "Sono-Sational," 1960)

The way it came across the lake with that smooth 1A signal & that gorgeous sounding transmitter...
BUM BUM BUMMM...CKLW,,,The Motor Cityyyy!!!http://www.thebig8.net/wblove.wav with a bonus.

Across the Lake? It sounded just as good at the Jersey Shore, Philly and NYC!

I love the time checks. When I was late getting home, I'd tell mom that I was listening to CKLW or WCFL. She actually understood: 1. at night I listen to out of town rockers, and 2. the cities were an hour behind Eastern, and let me off the hook.
