Anyone know if Brian Leary former WITS sports anchor and later Ch 5 news anchor ever went back into broadcasting? He left the business about 10. -15 years ago to practice law in Boston.

Searched his name and wcvb and got:
>Prior to founding Mogall and Arctius, Mr. Leary was a nationally recognized reporter and anchor for Boston's WCVB-TV. In 1997,* he received the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, considered to be broadcasting's Pulitzer Prize, for his investigative reporting on the Massachusetts Probate Court.

And, 4-12-12
BOSTON -- Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has named a 5-member panel to help the city plan for a possible resort casino at the Suffolk Downs horse track
The panel's chairman is Brian Leary, a former WCVB-TV news reporter who is now a partner with a Boston law firm.

If I recall correctly, he was in the WCVB sports department (weekend anchor) before moving to news. I vaguely recall that he co-anchored the nightly 5:30 edition with Heather Kahn. Remember her? That might have been in the early days when they first started the "new" 5pm and 5:30pm broadcasts. Chet and Nat at 5 and 6, Heather and Brian at 5:30. Heather was considered to be the next Nat. Maybe Brian was considered to be the next Chet. But then, somewhere along the line, Anthony Everett came along and he was considered to be the next Chet. Then Brian left. Or something like that.
