Where in the world is Mike McCoy?

I was just wondering if anyone knew where Mike McCoy was working now. Last time I knew, he was at WLAN in Lancaster. That was quite a while ago and I don't see any sign of him there now. Just curious.

He is PD of WNCI in Columbus, Ohio these days.

Nooooo!!!!!! way....We all sucked ;) but if you asked Ricky T, jk.. lol..but THOSE were the days..What are the chances you sending that to me somehow??? Send me a PM if you need my info again..I can ahold of you too..I am well, thanks...Miss the gang. I'm so happy for you that you actually stuck in radio..The only thing I had left was Black and gold jacket!! My brother stole it from me and it was stolen from him..Somewhere, someone has it!! Damn! Good times bro!

Too funny... I'll make an mp3 of it and send it to you.... shoot me your e-mail - [email protected]... Mel made a Busy Boyz compilation that includes you, I'll send that, too..

I have a few unscoped hours of WUCI somewhere. I'll have to scope them and put them up on my site.

On one of them, someone fired up a remix of "Full Circle" at 33 1/3 instead of 45... Darn those pesky 45 rpm 12" singles...

Honestly, 'UCI was one of the best times of my life. Everyone volumteered and worked hos or her asses off For Ashimba and Kingsley and you know what, THEY appreciated it!! It wasn't the corporate bs of today. I was there personally for 6 years, overnights then mornings for the remaining 5! My first *real* commercial radio gig was with Star 105.7 under the John Carter helm, *Thank oyu JC*, then it was on to KGB under Kevin *Bird* Fotzgerlad, what a freaky dude, but really cool! He had his hand thing going on...LOL...

Thanks MM for keeping in touch.

Lastly, I think, was this country station in town I can't think of the call letters..(sarcasm)..

I moved up here in '96 to the Capital Region. Radio is ok here..Some great jocks, some, well.....

Was John Carter ever PD of Star? I thought it was still just "WMRV" under Carter, and didn't become Star until Bill Sheridan took the PD helm.

oh doh!

Hey McCoy, quit sharing your Thriving Ivory call-out with Niederhauser! he won't stop breaking my b@lls cuz he knows i watch your station :)

Hope you're doing good (I know which way your vote went in Ohio ;)...

I stand corrected. You are right, my bad. I met Bill Sheridan briefly. Not the most pleasant guy in the world. But he loved his Louie G..John was very good to work for, and taught me alot.

Hey Reporter,

My friends use to play "The Bird" from The Time as my theme song!! I've moved high tech.....I flip 3 1/2" diskettes instead of the direct hand flap!! Those days between 1989 and 1992 at KGB were great. I'm still in Scranton at Shamrock....actually I'm in Reno, NV working on a Shamrock project here today. Hope things are well in the Capitol area.

KF!! Duuuuuude...How the hell are you??? I didn't know about the Theme song..I just thought you were off your rocker - no pun intended :) I remember vividly the first day I walked in KGB studios...You were a riot! I was just checking things out, we were bs-ing and I started that weekend..Ben Smith was the owner. Ahh, the tiny lil trailor next to McDonalds! Good times! Thank you for my time there..It was a blast!

Yo McCoy, long time no talk to. Hope all is well. I still think from time to time about the broken door in your old office at Country Club, and a certain utility guy the got accused of doing it....LOL. And we can't leave out the "get a cli-zue" spoof that Marc, Meg, and Louie pulled that one time. You looked like you were gonna have a stroke when they rolled the tape. Hey Jerry, left any good laughing messages on anyones voice mail lately? LOL. Be well.....

Hey Dan! Is this a Bowling alley? Is it cold enough for ya? Honk Honk

What door, Dan? I have no idea what you are talking about... ahem... yeah... ;)

Hey Weed, try my morning show from Columbus... we are syndicated on Kiss 102.3 in Albany... tell me what you think!

Jerry... you going home for X-mas?

I had no idea that's you guys!! I switch often between Kiss and Fly and B95. Dave and Jimmy! They are very funny..Very topical! You'd be surpirsed how amy peeps listen to Kiss. I am very good friends with DJ Thomas! (Middays)...

Where's my 'UCI demo?? ;)

Heck no McCoy. Most of my family has migrated to Texas too. Austin though, not El Paso, but Southwest has direct flights 4 times a day so I can fly there to see everyone for $150 round trip (and my son is still under 2 so he’s free)!

I was hanging out with Trina last weekend; she said she still visits you all the time…Lucky guy ;) I hope you and you’re family are doing great.
