Where is Joe "Boomer" Servantez now?

A VERY long time ago, I worked with Joe Servantez at our hometown radio station in Garden City, KS (Yes, THE Joe Servantez). I've tried Google but I can't get a fix on where he's at now. Anybody know??

From laradio.com:

Servantez, Joe "the Boomer": KPWR, 1986-96; KACD, 1996; KIBB, 1996-98; KACD, 1998; KRTH, 2002; KMVN, 2007. Joe is a California realtor and he works part-time at Movin 93.9/fm.

He actually never did part time for Movin, he was trying out for a spot and did a couple weekends. He was the initial voice for Movin when it began. He mainly does voice over work, most recently for Directv. But I like many, wonder why hes not on Movin, Hot 92.3, or even My 104.3. JMHO

He was TERRIBLE during his few shifts on Movin. All he did was feed his ego with set-up phoners congratulating him. I hope we never hear from him again.

your funny.set up callers....ya right.when los angeles heard his voice, yes everyone that had great memories of the great days of power 106 called him .nothing wrong with that.no wonder he had the top ratings at that time..miss ya boomer! ;D

Plain and simple he sucked on Movin. Ya, everyone is calling a radio station with less than a 1.0. He hadn't been heard on a shift in the market for over 15 years so nobody cares. His ratings at the end of stint at Power were pathetic.

Actually your wrong 4UH8SIMBKAGN. He worked at K-Big in 2005. Boomer did regular weekend shifts and filled in for the vacationing full timers. His number declined in his later years at Power because he worked less and less as he was phased out. The funny thing is, he can still walk into a room and have his voice recognized by many. Bet you cant say same 4UH8SIMBKAGN!

[/quote]Even Emmis his old employer didn't want him back. Nobody in this town is battling for his services and have not since he left Power. I worked with his ex-wife and obviously you don't have a clue to why he was blown out at Power.

Well theres a reliable source, an ex wife ;D.

You know he did work at stations besides Power. He was at KRLA, CD 103, Groove, B-100, Mega 100,
K-Earth, and K-Big...your right, nobody wanted his services after Power. Obviously nothing compared to the stint he had at Power 106. And by the way, I know Joe very well. And I know the reasons why he was removed, but its not my place to tell them here. If Joe wanted people to know, he'd tell them himself. Regardless of what you think of him, he had huge numbers while at Power, probably the last person with double digit ratings for a daypart in LA, David, a little help here. He is still loved by many of us that listened to him as kids, which by the way, is now 30+, which is why it amazes me that hes not on the air, he would relate immediately to the money demo. Hell if Dees is on, Joe can easily get the same numbers or better, if only given the chance.
