Where is Katie Couric?

She hasn't been on the CBS Evening News that much in the last 2-4 weeks. She anchored the broadcast last Monday and hasn't anchored the newscast since.

If you read the other current thread about Couric, she took a few days off to travel to Afghanistan to anchor her newscast on location for a few days. Like that was necessary.

Perhaps the CBS brass see the writing on the wall and snatched her off the air. Would be a very convenient time with the Afghanistan trip.

I truely believe major changes are coming to CBS Evening News, and the fact that Katie has been absent recently is a part of it. However, September is here, and if something isn't announced in the next two weeks, then I am wrong. However, if she gets through the Fall, I fully expect changes by early next year. I think we will see a CNN/CBS conjoin, sooner if not later.

You and me both. CBS has to do something to stop the bleeding, and I think "Perky Katie" is about to get thrown under the bus.
