95.7 The Ride, but anyone who posts here is unlikely to hear that station. I can sometimes.

I hear he's in Raleigh now, on 106.1 The Rooster (another CC screwup...)

now i couldn't tell you if that's true or not, but WOW wouldn't that be odd?? i find it hard to believe that he would go work for the same company that put him out of work in the first place. if i had to bet on it, i would go with a big fat NO WAY

Big_Ben, your view really confuses me! What would one NOT take a job with the same company, in a larger market! There are several reasons to do it - one is that your longevity with the company is likely preserved, and you keep your vacation earnings and vesting in the 401K!

Besides, working for the same company is better than not working at all, right? With the marked decline in the number of jobs (and quality thereof) in recent years, a bird in the hand .....

Nothing wrong with Keith Todd staying with CC; what I meant about the CC screwup was the station (106.1 The Rooster) being screwed-up...

It was Big Ben who said "now i couldn't tell you if that's true or not, but WOW wouldn't that be odd?? i find it hard to believe that he would go work for the same company that put him out of work in the first place. if i had to bet on it, i would go with a big fat NO WAY".

Just thought that was unrealistic. You go where the work is!

good point guys. i guess when you have a family to provide for, you do what you gotta do. i guess the wet behind my ears still prompts me to wish for the "good ol' days" of radio in which I never got to experience.

I just thought with the bad taste the FMX flip left in so many people's mouths (especially those on this board) that going with the evil tyrant who just killed your station would be hard to swallow.

oh well.

So let's see .. your company blows up a station in a small town (Hickory/Statesville) that is not a factor in either of the nearby large markets. Then the offer you the morning show on a brand new country station in a top 50 market. How bad can that be?

Truth is, Keith is better off today that before and the opportunity that presents itself is a good one for him. While many of you don't like CC, truth is if the company likes you, you will never want for a job. I suspect Keith is liked by the CC country folks and as long as they have country stations he can have a job!

Not the security of some professions, but pretty good for radio these days.
